What is an Alternate?
Should one of the "starters" NOT be able to go to Fargo (injury/illness, family/personal matter, weight/skin concerns), the Coach's Committee may call on an Alternate Wrestler to fill the spot. The Alternate is a wrestler who wrestled at the State Tournament, or filed a Petition Form, who did not make one of the roster spots for their weight class.
