Team Ohio made some noise this weekend in Spokane, Wash. at the Women’s National Championships and World Team Trials.
Of the 25 girls competing at the trials, 10 came home as All-Americans with Lyric Hetzer (65 kilograms) winning a 15U national title and spot on the Pan-American games team. Alexandria Alli (76) was an All-American at 20U with a third-place finish and 23U with a fourth-place showing.
Victoria Thiel (15U, 33) and Cecilia Michael (10U, 100-113) were runners-up.
Isabella Thiel (14U, 3rd, 95), Juliana Matteo (12U, 3rd, 69), Amelia Thiel (12U, 4th, 59), Kendall Bostleman (U23, 7th, 59) and Cali Leng (U20, 8th, 57 KG) rounded out the placers for the Buckeye state.
